Who We Are
Dumpter Pro is a professional junk removal Company.
Our junk removal is a service that involves the pick up and removal of unwanted items. Depending on the items being hauled the pricing will vary.
Once the items have been removed from the property they are hauled away never to be seen again. They may end up going to a recycling center, a second use store, or a disposal station. At Junker our goal is to have most of our items NOT end up in our landfills.

How Much Does a Dumpster Rental Cost in Middle Georgia?
The honest answer: it depends on four things. Here is exactly what drives the price, what to watch out for when comparing quotes, and what flat-rate pricing actually means.
Dumpster rental pricing is one of the least transparent corners of the home services industry. A company advertises a rate, you call to book, and by the time the invoice lands the number looks different from what you expected. Fuel surcharges, environmental fees, overweight charges, extended rental fees -- each one seems reasonable in isolation, but together they can push the final bill well above the base rate you were quoted.
The Dumpster Co. uses flat-rate pricing, which means one number covers delivery, pickup, and disposal for the agreed rental period. This guide explains what goes into that number, what can legitimately change it, and how to compare quotes from different companies on an equal footing.
The Four Things That Drive Dumpster Rental Cost
Every legitimate quote you receive from a roll-off company is built from the same four variables. Understanding them helps you know whether the price you're being quoted is reasonable and why two companies quoting the same container size might give you different numbers.
Container Size
The single biggest factor. Larger containers cost more because they haul more weight and volume. A 10-yard and a 30-yard are different products with genuinely different cost structures.
Rental Duration
Most quotes cover a standard window of 3, 7, or 14 days. Days beyond that window add to the base rate. Longer projects cost more. That's normal and fair as long as it's disclosed upfront.
Debris Type and Weight
Heavy materials like concrete, shingles, tile, and wet soil cost more to dispose of at the landfill. A bin loaded entirely with asphalt shingles will cost more at disposal than the same bin loaded with furniture and drywall.
Delivery Distance
The further the truck has to travel, the higher the fuel and time cost to the company. Customers in cities further from Jackson should expect this to be a factor in their quote.
All four of these are legitimate factors. None of them should be a surprise after you book. If a company's pricing changes for any of these reasons after delivery, that's a conversation you should have had before the truck showed up.
What Flat-Rate Pricing Actually Means
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you receive covers three things in a single number: delivery to your location, pickup when you are done, and disposal at a licensed facility. There are no separate line items for each of those services. The number you agree to is the number on the invoice, as long as you stay within the rental window and weight limit you were quoted.
The two things that can legitimately add to a flat-rate quote are going over the rental period and going over the weight limit. Both of these should be disclosed to you at booking, not discovered on the invoice. If a company cannot tell you upfront what happens when you exceed either limit, that is a red flag worth noting before you commit.
Common Hidden Fees and How to Spot Them
The roll-off rental industry has a handful of fees that show up on invoices more often than they should have been disclosed upfront. Knowing what they are lets you ask about them before you book rather than argue about them after.
| Fee Type | What It Is | How to Handle It |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel surcharge | A percentage added on top of the base rate to cover fuel costs, sometimes applied after booking | Ask if fuel is included in the quote. A flat-rate company should say yes. |
| Environmental fee | A disposal or landfill access fee added separately from the base quote | Ask if disposal is included. If it's not in the quote, get the exact number before booking. |
| Overweight charge | A per-ton fee applied when the loaded container exceeds the weight allowance | Ask what the weight limit is and what the per-ton rate is above it. Then plan accordingly. |
| Extended rental fee | A daily rate charged for each day the bin stays beyond the agreed rental window | Legitimate and acceptable, but you should know the daily rate before you book. |
| Failed trip fee | A charge if the driver cannot deliver or retrieve the bin due to access issues or an overfilled container | Prevent it by confirming site access and never loading above the fill line. |
| Prohibited material fee | A charge for the removal of prohibited items found in the bin at pickup | Know what is prohibited before you load. See our materials guide. |
In the early days of running The Dumpster Co., Daniel and I talked a lot about how to handle pricing. We had both called around to get dumpster quotes for jobs before we started this company and experienced the same thing most customers do: you get a number, you agree to it, and then the invoice has items on it that were never mentioned on the phone. It was the thing we were most determined to do differently.
The number we give you when you call is the number on your invoice. If something is going to affect that number, we say so before delivery. Shingle jobs, concrete, heavy tile -- we tell you what the weight consideration is before the truck leaves the yard, not after it comes back. That is not a favor we're doing customers. It's the only way to run a business that people come back to.
Joe Hardin, Co-Founder, The Dumpster Co.Cost by Container Size
Container size is the primary driver of price. The Dumpster Co. does not publish specific pricing online because the actual cost of your rental depends on the full combination of factors described above, and a number pulled from a website without context for your project and location is more likely to mislead than inform. What is accurate to say about size and cost:
- The 10-yard is the lowest cost option in our lineup. It is suited for light residential cleanouts, garage purges, and small landscaping jobs.
- The 15-yard costs more than the 10-yard and is the right choice for single-room remodels, appliance removal, and mid-size cleanouts.
- The 20-yard is our most popular size and the midpoint of the lineup in terms of cost. Whole-home cleanouts, roofing, flooring, and deck demolitions all land here.
- The 20-yard concrete dumpster is priced differently from the standard 20-yard because concrete, brick, and asphalt are heavy and expensive to dispose of responsibly. It is not interchangeable with the standard 20-yard from a pricing standpoint.
- The 30-yard is priced for commercial-scale volume. The step up from the 20-yard to the 30-yard is meaningful in terms of capacity and cost.
- The 40-yard is our highest-cost container and requires a phone call to reserve. It is priced for major construction and demolition projects where the 30-yard would not be sufficient.
The cost difference between adjacent sizes is almost always less than the cost of a mid-project swap-out. If you are on the line between two sizes, the guidance is consistent: size up. Our sizing guide covers 15 project types to help you land on the right container before you call.
What Roofing Jobs Cost
Roofing tear-offs are one of the most common dumpster rental jobs in our service area and one of the most frequently mispriced by customers when they try to estimate before calling. The reason is weight. Asphalt shingles run 250 to 400 pounds per square depending on the product and the number of layers being removed. A 20-square residential roof at 300 pounds per square produces 6,000 pounds of shingles. That weight matters to the final price.
The 20-yard roll-off handles most residential roofing jobs. When you call for a roofing quote, tell us the square count and whether you are pulling one layer or multiple layers. We will give you an exact number and flag any weight considerations upfront so there are no surprises at pickup.
For roofing contractors covering jobs across McDonough, Griffin, and the surrounding area, call (678) 306-9993 to talk through coordinated delivery schedules across active jobs. Volume arrangements are available for contractors managing multiple projects simultaneously.
How to Compare Quotes Properly
A low base rate is not the same as a low final cost. The only way to compare two dumpster rental quotes honestly is to get an all-in number from each company that covers the same things.
When you call for a quote, ask these questions before you agree to anything:
- Is delivery included in that price?
- Is pickup included?
- Is disposal at a licensed facility included?
- Are there fuel surcharges or environmental fees on top of that number?
- What is the rental period and what is the daily rate if I go over it?
- What is the weight limit and what is the per-ton rate if I exceed it?
- What happens if a prohibited item is found in the bin at pickup?
A company that hesitates on any of those questions or gives vague answers is telling you something useful about how they handle billing. A company with a straightforward pricing structure should be able to answer every one of those questions in under two minutes on the phone.
Volume Discounts for Contractors
Contractors and property managers who rent multiple containers across active job sites have different needs from a single-project homeowner. The Dumpster Co. works with contractors on coordinated delivery schedules, swap-out arrangements, and volume pricing on a case-by-case basis. The right starting point is a phone call to (678) 306-9993 where we can discuss the scope of your work across the service area and put together an arrangement that makes sense for the volume you are moving.
For large-scale commercial renovation and construction projects, see the 30-yard and 40-yard pages for capacity details, and our resource library for contractor-specific guides on managing waste across job sites.
