In This Guide
Yard work makes a lot of debris that does not fit in a trash cart: limbs, brush piles, overgrown shrubs, old sod and bags of leaves. A roll-off dumpster lets you clear it all in one weekend instead of hauling load after load. The Dumpster Co. delivers yard waste dumpsters across middle Georgia with flat-rate pricing that includes delivery, pickup and disposal.
Which Size Fits Your Yard Project
Seasonal cleanup or brush pile: 10 yard
A 10 yard dumpster holds about 3 pickup truck loads and handles brush piles, seasonal yard cleanups and minor landscaping projects. Its low profile fits most driveways.
Landscaping overhaul or limb removal: 15 yard
Tree limb removal and bigger landscaping projects that outgrow the 10 yard fit well in a 15 yard dumpster, which holds about 4 to 5 pickup loads.
Large property or yard work plus demo: 20 yard
For large landscaping jobs, or yard work combined with a deck or fence tear-out, the 20 yard dumpster holds about 6 to 7 pickup loads. Our deck demolition and landscaping guide covers combining both jobs.

Weight and Wet Green Waste
Dry brush and leaves are light. Sod and wet green waste are not. A load that sits in the rain can weigh far more than the same load dry. Each container includes a weight allowance: 1 ton on the 10 yard, 1.5 tons on the 15 yard, 2 tons on the 20 yard and 4 tons on the 30 yard. Weight over the allowance is $85 per ton. If you can, let green waste dry for a day or two before loading. Our weight limit guide explains how tonnage is calculated, and our cost page lists current base rates.
Loading Tips for Brush and Limbs
Cut limbs and branches down so they lie flat along the floor of the container. Lay heavier material like sod on the bottom and spread it out, then fill the gaps with brush and leaves. Keep everything below the top rail. Nothing should stick out above the sides. Our dumpster loading tips show how to get the most out of each cubic yard. Cleaning up after a storm? Our storm debris cleanup guide covers fallen trees and damaged fencing.
Placement
The driveway is the best spot. It is firm enough for the truck and the loaded container. The truck needs about 60 feet of straight-line access, and soft lawns, septic areas and slopes are not good placement spots. Plywood under the container helps protect the driveway. See how to prep your driveway for delivery and the dumpster permit guide if the container needs to sit on the street. Homeowners can find more on our residential dumpster rental page.
